THERE should be plenty of passion in the air when Pegasus take on Hinton and Westfields face Ledbury Town in the HFA County Challenge Cup semi-finals next Tuesday.

Pegasus boss Chris Hyde is looking forward to renewing acquaintance with a former club when he takes his Juniors team to Broomy Hill.

"I have lots of great memories of Hinton," he said.

"It was the first club I played senior football for and I won the county cup with them - I played with some proper legends there."

Westfields manager Sean Edwards took the opportunity to run the rule over his opponents when he was in the crowd for Ledbury’s goalless draw against Bartestree last Saturday.

Ledbury Town boss Paul Mann, a former Fields manager, said: “I would like to think Westfields went away and think they will be in for a good game.

“Hopefully, we will give them a game. We know we’re underdogs but we will give it our best shot against Westfields.

“We have our spies out and, on their day, Westfields will turn over anyone.

“We still have one or two other cup competition but the HFA County Challenge Cup is the one which is closest to our hearts.”
