HEREFORD Cathedral School pupil Will Butler has been selected for the England Midlands U16s divisional squad, with the prospect of eventual England U16 honours.
Following county and North Midlands honours this season, Butler is the only U16 player from Herefordshire to make this grade.
“This is a great honour for Will and a true testament to his dedication and work ethic; values that we witness from Will inside and outside of the classroom, said Hereford Cathedral School’s headmaster Paul Smith.
“I am delighted for Will and his family, and I wish Will the best of luck for the next stages of selection.”
The next Divisional Development Camp in March and the BMW Wellington International Festival in April, will determine whether Will can add to his growing list of honours and make the full England U16 team for their international fixtures, against Italy U17s and Wales U16s.
