HEREFORDSHIRE Challengers have been promoted to the British League for next season after winning Division One B of the Veterans National League.
The three-strong team of Mark Owen, Michael Owens and Ola Andersson travelled to Blackpool for the second weekend of the campaign after finishing in second place, with seven points, after the first get-together in November.
But this time they went through the weekend unbeaten to top the table, three points clear of second-placed Cippenham.
RESULTS
Hereford Challengers 3 Cippenham 3 - all players lost once and won once.
Hereford Challengers 5 Redland Bats 1 - Owen and Owens won both of their matches with Andersson losing and winning one.
Topspin Fusion 2 2 Hereford Challengers 4 - Owen won both of his matches while Owens and Andersson won and lost one each.
Hereford Challengers 5 Draycott & Long Eaton 2 1 - Owen and Owens won both of their matches with Andersson winning and losing one.
Graham Spicer 2 2 Hereford Challengers 4 - Owens won both of his matches while Owen and Andersson won and lost one each .
The team finished the weekend on a high, and look forward to competing in The British League next season.
Their averages over the two weekends were: Mark Owen 72.2%, Ola Andersson 70%, Michael Owens 66.7%.
