HEREFORD boxer Lee Jenkins' comeback ended in the hoped-for success in Eastbourne on Friday night.

Only 10 months ago, Jenkins survived a life-threatening fall which saw him break 17 bones and suffer other terrible injuries.

But, against Lloyd Richards of Sevenoaks, Jenkins, who was fighting for the University of Brighton's Panthers Boxing Club, win all three rounds to complete an incredible return to the ring.

"It was unbelievable," said dad Tudor, who made the trip to Eastbourne with a number of friends and family members.

"He seemed even better than before and he had that 'I'm back' look.

"He has just proved what can be done and, in his own mind, he is back to 100%.

"It was a really good win against a fighter who has had 20 previous fights and won 16 of them."
