THE wet weather will, once again, cause major disruption to the weekend’s sporting fixtures in Herefordshire.
All football matches scheduled to take place this weekend at Gorsty Lane and Widemarsh Common in Hereford have been postponed.
A host of other matches – both football and rugby - involving Herefordshire sides have already been called off because of waterlogged pitches.
At 5pm today, football matches remained on at Westfields Res, Kington Town, Shobdon, Pencombe, Ledbury Town Reserves, Dore Valley and Ewyas Harold, reported Herefordshire Football League spokesman Trevor Clarke.
Hereford Rugby Club’s North Midlands Cup semi-final against Newport was called off at lunchtime today.
