Victory for Hereford RFC but defeats for Luctonians and Westfields

LUCTONIANS failed to build on their fine win the previous week against Didley Kingswinford when they were beaten 23-15 in National Two North at Birmingham & Solihull.

But Hereford have eased up to third place in Midlands One West with a 13-0 at Berkswell & Balsall.

But there was a disappointment for Ledbury who went down by a single-point to visiting Cheltenham North in Midlands Three West (South) when they were beaten 23-22.

Although Greyhound were winners in Midlands Four West (North), there was no joy for Bromyard who were thumped 36-0 at Cannock.

Westfields made their exit from the FA Vase when they made the long trip to Northumberland where they were beaten 3-0 in their third round tie.

County sides in Division One of the West Midlands League had varying fortunes.

Lads Club enjoyed a 1-0 win at Trysull but Ledbury Town became the latest victims of unbeaten leaders Bridgnorth who won 4-1.
