Cradley Town 1 Wellington 2
TWO goals from Paul Jones capped another excellent West Midlands League Premier Division away win for Wellington.
But although Jones's double strike caught the eye, the villagers' back five of Craig Hill, Nick Williams, Will Burley, Gareth Thomas and Sam Archer-Plane also starred in a fine defensive display.
Jones twice shot over from promising positions and Saul Thomas carved out a couple of half chances in a goalless first half.
After the break, Wellington attacked up the slope and penned Cradley back in their own half.
Matt Williams sent an angled shot wide before Thomas was brought down in the area.
Jones scored from the spot and added his second 10 minutes later after Andy Price had sent him through.
Cradley pulled a goal back from a penalty but Wellington held on comfortably to return with the points.
