HEREFORD United skipper and player-coach Luke Graham remains confident ahead of the Bulls' tough festive programme.

United's arduous holiday campaign gets underway with a visit from Skrill Premier leaders Cambridge United on Saturday and then continues with a visit to Kidderminster Harriers on Boxing Day.

Forest Green visit Edgar Street for a televised clash on December 28 with the return match against Kidderminster opening the New Year before the Bulls travel to Woking on January 4.

"There are five games in 15 days," said Graham. "They are tough but it's down to us to get some points.

"Everyone is looking for a lift but it's only the players on the pitch who can provide that.

"All of the games are winnable but the first goal is so important."

Graham acknowledges that one of the problems for United has been the 'goals for' column.

"When you get to the Christmas period and your top-scorer is on three goals it says a lot about what the problem is," he said.

"A lot of our goals have been coming in the second half - we don't seem to score much in the first-half.

"Defensively we have been better but we need to cut out the silly mistakes."

Graham will be looking to continue his comeback from injury against Cambridge after making his return after a month out with a foot injury in United's previous game, the home defeat by Nuneaton on December 7.

"It's feeling good now although I could have done with another game a bit sooner after the Nuneaton match," he said.

While the two-week lay-off was not ideal for Graham, it may have given some of the other Hereford players a chance to get over injuries.

Rob Purdie and Kingsley James should be approaching fitness again while Rhys Evans, who, like Purdie, was injured in the FA Cup defeat at Burton Albion, will be another candidate for a return over the holiday period.

Former Kidderminster midfielder Danny Pilkington, whose season has been wrecked by injury, will also hope to be available against his old club.

Young fans looking to attend the Bulls' clash with Forest Green on December 28, kick-off 7.30pm, can get for just £1.

All children aged 14 and under will be admitted at the turnstiles for £1 with no need to buy an advanced ticket.

Adult fans looking to attend the Forest Green and Kidderminster home matches will be able to buy a ticket to cover both games for £20.

On the night of the Forest Green game, there's a fancy dress competition for under-15s, in three age groups, which will be judged on the pitch by Edgar the Bull at half-time.

The Hereford Times will be giving away a pair of tickets to the Bulls game with Forest Green to one lucky fan.
