WELLINGTON made a brave attempt to fight back for a point after falling two goals behind.

Sporting Khalsa took advantage of some early defensive frailty to open the scoring and then added a second from a corner.

Andy Price saw a header cleared off the line before Ben Fischer set up Matt Williams to score from 35 yards.

The visitors took advantage of the strong wind, however, to re-establish the two-goal margin before the interval.

After the break, Saul Thomas and Josh Hunt went close before Fischer's sending off reduced Wellington to 10 men.

Williams reduced arrears from the spot and Wellington looked likely to get an equaliser before a foul by Will Burley allowed Khalsa to score their fourth with a penalty.
