GREYHOUND have gone into the Christmas break on a high after a hat-trick of tries for Elliott Phillips in a welcome win against their Midlands Four West (North) promotion-chasing visitors.
Phillips scored the first try with Matt Swain converting but the visitors replied with a try and conversion to level the scores and went in at half-time ahead after kicking a penalty.
Swain scoring a try, which he converted himself, at the start of the second period, only for the visitors to reply with a further converted try.
Phillips' second, unconverted, try was followed by the final Cleobury score before Phillips went over for his third and decisive try, with the conversion added by Swain.
In the same division, Bromyard are in sixth place after their first away win of the season, a 27-17 success at neighbouring Tenbury.
