INSTRUCTOR Luke Hall has led the England Taekwon-do team to an historic victory in The Sword of Friendship Tournament.
Luke, the captain, was joined by fellow members of the Hall Family Taekwon-do squad as England triumphed after 15 gruelling rounds.
Instructor Sarah Hall, Nick Slane, assistant instructor Dan Sneddon, Jon Walsh, Marcus Ashfield, Lily Staight, Jason Winney, Tobias Staight and Chris Royles, were all part of the international event.
The Hall Family squad attended months of national training sessions to gaining selected for the England team.
The five- five nation Sword of Friendship Tournament has been running for decades but this England’s first success.
The winning prize is a Sword dating back to the Welsh royalty in 1445.
The England team now hold the sword and will be hosting the tournament next year.
Jon Walsh, a student of Hall Family, said: “'Mr and Mrs Hall provide equal opportunities for all their students, regardless of ability. They work hard to give us support in many events and make us feel like part of a real family rather than just a club.”
