Wellington win 3-0 at Bewdley Town in West Midlands League Premier Division

JOSH Hunt's brace fired Derek Williams' men to their 11th win of the season in the West Midlands League Premier Division.

Wellington merited last weekend's success and Williams will be wanting a repeat performance against sixth-placed visitors Sporting Khalsa this Saturday.

Williams praised the excellent showing from man-of-match Ben Fischer and was delighted to give young Harry Daubey a first-team debut.

The boss was also thrilled with the defensive duties of Will burley and Nick Williams

Ninth-placed Wellington led 1-0 at the interval after Saul Thomas out-jumped the home defence to head in Matt Williams' cross.

Wellington had started well against a strong Bewdley team who belied their lowly 17th position.

Thomas fired inches wide after 10 minutes before Steve Brotherwood free kick was blocked.

Bewdley threatened but Matt Eden was in top form, punching a shot off the line n the stroke of half time.

Wellington rode their luck for the opening 15 minutes of the second period and Bewdley were kept at bay by Sam Archer and Fischer.

Wellington stepped up their display and Hunt doubled the villagers' advantage, side-footing home a neat ball from Matt Williams.

Will Haines rattled a post an Dean Price slotted wide the rebound before Derek Williams was jumping for joy with nine minutes remaining.

Thomas shot rattled the bar and Hunt was quick to react, smashing home the rebound to seal the points.
