HEREFORD Fly Fishing Club’s annual Fur and Feather match held at Wellington on 8 December proved to be a tough challenge for most members. The day turned out to be bright and cold with a brisk wind which kept fish deep in the water.
There was only one limit bag of four fish taken by club champion Dave Prosser but he was pipped at the post by Ian Peberdy who had three fish but with a higher weight of 8lb 7oz. beating Dave by 8oz. The award for best fish went to Maurice O’Grady with a rainbow of 2lb 14oz.
