TWO of Hall Family Taekwon-Do’s instructors have achieved enhanced gradings.
Senior instructor Sarah Hall and assistant instructor Dan Sneddon undertook their black belt examination grading under Grand Master Hopwood (9th Degree Black Belt) and the NITA black belt examination board.
Both successfully achieved their new ranks of fourth degree black belt and first degree black belt respectively.
Each candidate had to undergo a gruelling two-and-half hour grading, where both had to demonstrate their Taekwon-Do skills and knowledge, including life skills such as knife work and self defence, as well as the usual sparring (fighting) and traditional line work including a power test (board breaking).
Hall was also awarded a rare grand master promotion certificate, the first female in Herefordshire to achieve such a prestigious honour.
To add to Hall Family 's variety of classes for children only, adult only, or mixed classes, Sarah Hall has now started a women-only class at Hereford Leisure Centre at 10am on Monday mornings with, as with all of the club's classes, a month’s free training.
