Hereford United's Rob Purdie and Josh O'Keefe eye Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup first round draw
HEREFORD United’s midfield duo at Hornchurch have their eye on a potential big scalp when the first round draw is made tomorrow (Sunday).
Both goalscorer Josh O’Keefe and Rob Purdie mentioned Wolverhampton Wanderers when asked whom their ideal draw would be.
“You want a team where you’ve got a chance but, if you lose, it’s still a good team to play,” said Purdie.
“You look at Wolves or Sheffield United at Edgar Street – then it would be great to get a draw and take them back to their place.
“At the same time, should you lose then you’ve gone out to one of the biggest clubs in the competition at that stage.
“Other than that, a League 2 side at home or a League 1 side away would be great.”
O’Keefe added: “I’d take any of the big teams, Wolves or Preston would be great but you just have to hope and then if you get one like that it’s a real bonus.”
Boss Martin Foyle expressed no preference, just that he was relieved to be through.
