'Worldwide interest’ from investors keen for a share of Hereford United Football Club, says chairman David Keyte
HEREFORD United says there has been ‘worldwide interest’ in people wanting to buy shares in the club.
Existing shareholders at Edgar Street can purchase shares until next Monday.
After Monday, the shares will go on general sale to the public.
“We're excited and pleased by the interest shown from both current shareholders and supporters who are keen to buy in to the future of their football club,” said Bulls chairman David Keyte.
“It's heartening to know there are plenty of fans out there who want to help us secure the long term future of Hereford United.”
Keyte says the new share issue will raise funds to help finance the development of the Edgar Street ground.
“A main priority for the club is to see a return to the Football League,” said Keyte.
“We must build the infrastructure that will help provide a stadium that we can be proud of and provide the necessary funds to support Martin and the team.
“The share issue will help us achieve those goals.”
