DESPITE the lack of goals last Saturday against Luton Town, one of Hereford United’s oldest fans still had a day to remember.
Doris Rogers has been supporting the Bulls for more than 60 years and celebrated turning 88 by enjoying an hospitality package at Edgar Street.
But having a photograph taken with Luton chairman and BBC Midlands Today presenter Nick Owen made her day.
“I really enjoyed the day and it was a pleasure to meet Nick,” said Doris, who is from the Moorfields area of Hereford and watches the Bulls from the Len Weston Stand terrace.
“I see him on TV a lot, but he said that he won’t be on as much now.”
Doris also had her photograph taken with Rob Purdie, who turned 31 on Saturday, and chairman David Keyte.
“I have watched from the Len Weston Stand since it opened,” said Doris. “Watching Hereford is my main pleasure and I enjoy it very much.”
