TALENTED shooter Owen Huffer has won the junior title at the 100 World All Round championships in North Wales.
The 19-year-old Wales international scored 85 out of a possible 100 in the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association competition at Fauxdegla Shooting Ground.
Owen, a former Herefordshire College of Technology student, shot four disciplines at the event - down the line, automatic ball trap, skeet and sporting.
“I was very pleased to win the junior championship and I did well in three of the disciplines,” said Owen, who used to work at William J Mason in Leominster.
Owen switched to Olympic trap shooting around two years ago. He had previously shot down the line.
Owen has represented Wales for the past three years in both disciplines, performing at internationals in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The marksman, who lives near Ludlow, has had a host of triumphs in the sport of Clay Pigeon shooting at local, regional and national competitions.
