Clean sweep for all six Herefordshire rugby sides while Westfields and Pegasus win too
IT was a red-letter day for all of the county’s rugby sides with the super sextet all recording victories.
Luctonians maintained their winning start to the National Two North season and won 28-12 at Bromsgrove.
Hereford also showed that they are contenders in Midlands One West with a win, 35-8 at Stratford-upon-Avon.
Ledbury began their Midlands Three West (South) season by beating Pinley 9-8.
Top scorers of the day were Bromyard who thrashed Warley 60-22 in Midlands Four West (North).
Promoted Greyhound made s successful start to their season in the same division with a 20-13 win at Five Ways Old Edwardians.
Ross rounded off the successful day in Gloucester Two, winning 10-8 at Broad Plain.
There was joy at last for Westfields who got back on the winning trail with a 4-1 win at Continental Star with goals from Brad Birch, Phil Glover, Craig Jones and Jamie Cuss.
And Pegasus Juniors remain at the top of the West Midlands League Premier Division after Ben Price, Kane Kahaki, Richard Harrison and an own goal earned them a 4-1 win over Wolverhampton Sporting Community Reserves.
Wellington crashed 6-1 at home to Dudley Town and Bromyard Town went down 3-0 at Lye Town.
Ledbury Town won 3-1 at Stone Old Alleynians but the other two sides in Division One were beaten, Bartestree 4-3 at Wem Town and Lads Club 3-1 at Mahal.
Second-placed Brockhampton rounded off their Birmingham League Premier Division season with a defeat, going down by 173 runs at Himley.
