HEREFORD United's player-of-the-year Sam Clucas has agreed to join Mansfield Town, according to national reports.
Sky Sport News has said that the 22-year-old midfielder, who earned rave reviews at Edgar Street last season, is set to put pen-to-paper on a two year deal at Field Mill.
Mansfield were promoted to League Two last season after winning the Conference and Clucas is said to have impressed manager Paul Cox.
Hereford have already lost the services of last season's top scorer Ryan Bowman and Marley Watkins, but have signed up Luke Graham, Josh O'Keefe and Rod McDonald, as well as recruiting striker Dan Walker from Luton Town.
Sam Smith has also linked up with Martin Foyle's team on a season-long loan from Cambridge United.
