West Midlands Netball League defeat for Westside by leaders Dudley Leisure

Sophie Wright is back after a maternity break.
WESTSIDE picked up a point but were beaten 54-33 by West Midlands Netball League Division Two leaders Dudley Leisure.
Westside welcomed back captain Sophie Wright at centre after a maternity break. Westside got off to a strong start and finished the quarter just two goals behind at 12-10.
The second quarter started promisingly for the city side with Wright relishing her return to the court and feeding lovely balls to Aimee Phillips and Ellie Smith who continued to work well.
But Dudley gradually increased their advantage to lead 25-15 at half-time.
Dudley dominated the third quarter and several unforced Westside errors caused a dip in performance. The Hereford side were unable to stop the flow of their opposition and Dudley built a commanding lead.
Westside won the final quarter with some real fighting spirit but, although Ellie Smith found good shooting positions to earn the player-of-the-match award, Dudley held on for a 54-33 win.
