Late try deprives Ross of win at St Brendan's Old Boys in Gloucester Two

St Brendan’s Old Boys 19 pts Ross 19.

A LAST-gasp try deprived Ross of a well-deserved Gloucester 2 away win, leaving the south Herefordshire club in fourth place in the table.

An early try by Chay Brine, converted by Craig Powell, gave Ross an early lead.

But St Brendan’s piled on the pressure and were rewarded with a converted try to level the scores.

Ross struck back again, with Gareth Holdsworth storming clear for a try. Powell added the extras.

A converted try by the home side levelled the scores again and it was not until 10 minutes from the end that Josh Morgan gave Ross the lead again.

The hosts scored wide out to earn their draw with the conversion sliding wide.

Previously, Ross progressed to the last eight of the North Midlands Vase with a 25-17 home success against Tenbury Wells.
