Pegasus Juniors 0 Lye Town 2.

JUNIORS were unable to prevent the West Midlands League Premier Division leaders from continuing their perfect away record despite a creditable performance at Old School Lane.

Lye took the lead after only 14 minutes when goalkeeper Stuart Turpin brought down Richard Anslow and Damian Whitcombe scored from the penalty spot.

In a game of few scoring opportunities, Lye increased their lead on 70 minutes.

Andy Mowen was caught in possession from Turpin’s clearance and Nick Pugh chipped the ball over the keeper’s head and into the net from 20 yards.

Lye keeper Charlie Price saved brilliantly from Cory Hyde nine minutes from time to prevent Pegasus gaining any consolation.

Today (Thursday) is the final day to vote for Pegasus in the FA’s Budweiser’s Futures competition.

Ashley Millard’s goal was not enough to bring any reward for Bromyard Town who were beaten 2-1 at Bewdley Town.

Wellington suffered a 4-2 defeat when they were beaten by their name-sakes Wellington Amateurs in Shropshire.
