MORGAN Baynham-Williams has become the first Ross Rowing Club member to receive the Hereford Times Ted Woodriffe Award.

The trophy and bursary are presented each year to a promising young sportsperson.

Morgan, who recently returned from Australia where she coxed the women’s eight to a bronze medal in the Australian Youth Olympic Festival in Melbourne, is set for a big future in the sport.

She is busy trialling for the GB under-23 squad and hopes to be taking part at Henley Regatta this year with a longer term aim of being part of the Great Britain rowing squad at the Rio Olympics in 2016.
