ROSS Rowing Club’s women’s junior 14 coxed quad beat challengers from as far afield as London and Chester to win at the Wycliffe Head.

The Ross crew of Scarlett Brodholt, Jess Saxon-Macrostie, Echo Callaghan, Naomi Banks-Martin and cox Anna Barker beat off nine other crews to take victory over the 4.5km course 77 seconds faster than their nearest challengers. The Ross junior academy’s women’s junior eight also had an encouraging outing in their first long-distance head as they prepare for the women’s Head of the River on the Thames in March.
