Herefordshire paddler Bruce Jones looking for big things after Hasler success

A HEREFORD paddler is looking forward to great things in the new year after a successful 2012.

Bruce Jones completed last season in fine style with three wins in Division Two Hasler races at Tonbridge, Henley and Windsor.

He also won the junior section of the Royal Canoe Club’s paddling challenge for under-18s where he received his trophy from K2 Olympic bronze medallist Johnny Scholfield.

He also earned a call-up for the Great Britain squad after three selection regattas throughout the year at Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham. He was picked to paddle for GB in the K2 and K4 competitions in an Olympic Hopes Regatta in Hungary.
