FORTY members from City of Hereford and Ross Swimming Club raised £1,800 by swimming the equivalent of the distance between Hereford and London’s Olympic Park.
The money will be used to buy new lane ropes for competitions.
“The club is self funded and events like this enable us to buy essential equipment,” said head coach Alex Dallimore.
The club finished in eighth position in the Midlands Premier Division, which was their highest position in the Arena National League.
