A YOUNG Herefordshire equestrian star has gone to the top of the class at the National Schools Equestrian Association championship at Addington Manor in Buckinghamshire.
Lucy Pincus, a pupil at the Bishop of Hereford’s Bluecoat School, has become the champion and reserve champion in the dressage events where she also obtained a third place riding home-bred horses belonging to her parents Serena and David Pincus.
On day one of the two-day event, Lucy won the two warm-up classes and set the pattern for the following day’s championship classes.
In the preliminary level competition, Lucy came third on Sheepcote Fiesta and, later in the day, the pair were also leading the novice championship until lucy topped her own score with her other ride Sheepcote Don Calisto.
Lucy and Sheepcote Don Calisto gained the highest score of the entire event with 78 per cent to round off an excellent competition.
