NEW signing Chris Sharp is hoping that a move back to the full-time game will kick-start his career.
The tall striker, who signed from Telford United for a £3,000 fee, made a promising debut against Kidderminster Harriers on New Year’s Day, winning the penalty which secured the Bulls’ victory.
“Being full-time will help my game massively,” said the 26-year-old.
“That was the main reason for coming - Martin Foyle was a striker himself and has a great goalscoring record to show.
“People that I have spoken to say that he works well with strikers and improves them, helping them to get good moves - people like Richard Brodie.
“I’m looking forward to working with the gaffer and with the boys. “I’m really happy to be back full-time and I’ll give it a good go here.”
Martin Foyle was pleased with his new acquisition who joins the select band of Neil Grayson and Ben Smith as players signed for a fee during the last 17 years.
“Sharpy gives a lot more energy to threaten teams,” said Foyle.
“He will get better and he’s also played 4-3-3 in the past. He and Andy Corbett have come in and given us a little bit of legs and know-how.”
Foyle was also due to add young Fulham defender James Musa to his squad yesterday with Phil Marsh returning to Forest Green Rovers at the end of his loan.
Kyle Perry and Simon Hackney’s loans are also near their end with more arrivals and departures likely.
l Former Bull Gary Bowyer has been placed in caretaker charge at Championship side Blackburn Rovers after the sacking of Henning Berg.
Bowyer, who also played football for Westfields and cricket for Wormelow, has led his side to a 3-1 success at Barnsley and a 3-0 home win over Nottingham Forest .
