HEREFORDSHIRE’S Josie Pearson has been shortlisted for the BBC Cymru Wales Sports Personality of the Year award.
Josie, who lives in Brilley, is up against boxer Nathan Cleverly, footballer Gareth Bale, rugby player Dan Lydiate and cyclist Mark Colbourne in the 10-strong category.
The title will be decided by public vote.
The winner announced in a BBC Radio Wales programme with Jason Mohammad from 7.30pm on Monday, December 10, from the awards ceremony at the Millennium Stadium.
Josie, who has a golden postbox painted in her honour in her home town of Hay-on-Wye, won a gold medal in the F51 discus category at the 2012 Paralympics in London. She broke the world record three times on her way to gold.
People will be able to phone or text their vote for the BBC Cymru Wales Sports Personality of the Year accolade.
Full details will be announced before the voting lines open next Monday.
