HEREFORD United's financial problems have been given a much needed lift with news that their FA Cup Second Round game against Cheltenham Town be shown live on TV.

The match at Cheltenham's Whaddon Road ground will be on ESPN at 7.45pm on Monday, December 3.

Each club will receive £67,925, with the winner getting a further £27,000.

And both teams will go into the game knowing who they will potentially face in the third round with that draw having already been made.

Hereford's scheduled Blue Square Premier game against Mansfield Town on Tuesday, December 4 will now be postponed.

The Bulls will again be shown live on TV when Premier Sports broadcast their away league game against Barrow on Friday, December 7.
