Lesley Bennett sends out plea to Herefordshire's London 2012 Gamesmakers

A WOMAN beamed into the homes of millions this summer has issued an appeal to Herefordshire’s London 2012 Gamesmakers.

Lesley Bennett would like to meet up with other volunteers from the county who were Olympic and Paralympic Gamemakers.

Lesley, from Hereford and County Athletics Club, shot to prominence during the Olympics.

She was filmed holding open an Olympic Stadium door for Jamaican sprint star Usain Bolt before one of his two gold medal-winning displays.

“A few of the Gamesmakers met in High Town and I even met someone I worked with in the Olympic Stadium,” said Lesley.
