Mott the Hoople set for reunion

A LEGENDARY Hereford band that graced the top 10 looks set to re-form next year.

Mott the Hoople is on the verge of reuniting, according to former keyboardist Verden Allen.

The glam rockers put Hereford on the musical map in the 1970s with their top three hit All the Young Dudes.

But 34 years after splitting, the group is ready to perform again and could include another renowned Herefordian in their ranks.

Revellers got a glimpse of a Hereford supergroup on Saturday, November 29, when Verden and Martin Chambers, of The Pretenders, cheered on local band, Running on Empty, in the Golden Cross at Sutton St Nicholas.
