TWO vehicles were in collision on the B4352 Clehonger to Madley road last night (December 9).
Emergency services were called to the accident near Eaton Bishop at around 7.25pm.
A white Volkswagen Golf and a silver and blue Mitsubishi were both extensively damaged.
Neil Tipton, a police spokesman, said an ambulance was called and a passenger from the Volkswagen was taken to hospital with a head injury that was not thought to be life-threatening.
Dr David Houston, of Mercia Accident Rescue Service, attended the accident and said the man was knocked unconscious and was being treated by paramedics when the vehicle caught fire.
The man was quickly moved while a police officer put the fire out.
He added that the driver of the Golf sustained chest injuries and the backseat passenger suffered wrist injuries and were also taken to hospital by ambulance.
He added that the driver of the Mitsubishi sustained non-life threatening chest injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
