Lorry driver taken to hospital

FIREFIGHTERS attended an accident involving an overturned lorry close to Kington today.

The fire service was called to the incident at 9.06am on the B4362 after the lorry was in collision with a telegraph pole.

Firefighters from Kington and Kingsland stablised the vehicle and the incident was also attended by Dr Malcolm Russell of Mercia Accident Rescue Service (MARS).

The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
