Messages behind the Dean’s rescue

The Dean is "treated" by paramedics The Dean is "treated" by paramedics

EMERGENCY services have cut the Dean of Hereford from the tangled wreckage of a crashed car.

Fortunately for the Very Rev Michael Tavinor, the accident was staged to draw attention to a special remembrance service to be held for those affected by road accidents.

The Herefordshire Road Safety Partnership, supported by the Council for Social Responsibility and Hereford Cathedral, was behind the reconstruction. It also showed the vital work of the emergency services and demonstrated the importance of safe driving.

The RoadPeace Service will take place at Hereford Cathedral on Sunday, November 19, at 3.30pm.
