HANNAH Morris has eight soldiers from the First World War "buried" in her garden.

They are there because she couldn't find their graves.

Together, Hannah and her husband Phil made a mission to place a poppy on the grave of each soldier from the county to have died during the 1914-18 conflict.

That's 101 cemeteries and 236 graves.

Eight poppies came back home to Peterchurch with Hannah and Phil, one for each of the graves they could not find.

It wasn't for want of research. Hannah spent months painstakingly pinpointing the graves and planning a way around the county to reach them.

Hannah has a strong interest in the First World War and wanted to visit battlefield sites and memorials in France.

The poppy placing mission was, said Phil, a simple mark of respect
