REDDITCH residents are invited to take to the streets and celebrate our country's servicemen and women during Armed Forces Day on June 24.
Redditch Royal British Legion will be leading a parade which will take place in the town centre, and is open to all local uniformed groups and regimental organisations.
This year the parade will start from Ollie's Eatery near Redditch Town Hall at 10.30am and will march to St Stephen's Church for a service outside.
The Deputy Lord Lieutenant Professor Michael Clarke, Redditch Mayor Jennifer Wheeler and new MP Rachel Maclean will lay wreaths at the memorial.
Flowing the parade, a reception is being held at the town hall for the veterans, armed forces families and the Royal British Legion. It has been organised by Council Leader Bill Hartnett to show "appreciation" and thanks for all that the organisations do and have done.
Cllr Hartnett added: "The armed services' day is our chance to show our support for the armed services and also the families of the armed services as well as the veterans who serve to protect us and keep us safe."
