ST Andrew's Church, at Poolbrook, Malvern, is the venue for a course helping people explore what psychologists, doctors and faith leaders have to say about happiness.

The Happiness Lab starts on Wednesday, January 10, at 7.30pm and runs for six weeks.

Based on a series of fly-on-the-wall documentaries, the course follows twelve people as they explore a range of ideas around the theme of happiness.

Dave Bruce, the course organiser, said: "Each session will begin with the 25-minute video, followed by time together in relaxed and informal small groups to discuss it.

"At the end of the session, practical examples of living out each discipline are offered for you to try out and experiment with the following week.”

Mr Bruce, who is rector at St Andrews, said: "This resource does not offer prescriptive ‘answers’ but invites you to go on a journey with different professionals to allow you to conduct your own experiments and come to your own conclusions.

"It is not an overtly religious course and we welcome anybody and everybody, but we do operate on the belief that happiness comes from living well and that you live well when you exist as a spiritual person in a material age."
