OFFICERS are appealing for witnesses after a woman was pushed over and her pushchair containing her child was tipped over.
West Mercia Police received a report of assault with intent to commit robbery between 2.30pm and 2.50pm on Monday (August 14) in Kidderminster Road, in Bewdley.
A spokesman from West Mercia Police said: "A woman was walking with a pushchair along the road when a man pushed her from behind, causing her to fall and her pushchair to tip.
"The man then attempted to take a handbag from the woman, but failed to do so.
"The man is described as white, in his mid 30s, approximately between 6ft and 6ft2in tall, skinny with a 'gangly' build.
"He had brown facial hair - slightly longer than what could be considered stubble - with a large nose.
"He is believed to have been wearing a black zip up hoodie, black tracksuit bottoms with a blue logo on the bottom right leg and blue/black Nike Air Max trainers."
Any witnesses to the incident or have any information in relation, are asked to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident reference number 413S of August 14.
