PUPILS at St Andrew's CE School in Hampton, Evesham, donated tinned, packet and fresh food to the Caring Hands Food Bank at the Vale of Evesham Christian Centre as part of their Harvest Festival.
Following a harvest service at St Andrew's Church in Hampton, the School Ambassadors, along with the headteacher, Andrea Bailey, gave the food that had been donated by the pupils’ family and friends to Diane Bennett (MBE), a Community Worker at the Christian Centre.
Ms Bennett said: “Thank you so much to all the children and their parents and carers for their continued support and generosity.
“The food will be used in the food bank and the fresh produce will be used in the drop-in diner where we provide meals twice-weekly for people in need in our community.”
Harriet Batchelor, a year 5 school ambassador, stated: “I think our harvest collection is really kind because we help people less fortunate than we are.”
