THIS month, Wychavon contractor, FCC Environment has been out in force conducting the annual deep clean of the town centres.

Specialist equipment has been brought in to hose, scrub and polish towns to get them glistening.

Chewing gum has also been tackled which is always troublesome and difficult to remove.

The team started in Evesham and finished off their clean on Monday, from there they have moved their efforts to Droitwich Spa and will then go to Pershore.

Sharon Casswell, client services manager at Wychavon said: “It’s always a nice feeling when the teams have finished in a town as the results are really impressive.

"Shoppers, visitors and residents alike should notice a real difference.

"We’re also so pleased that residents have taken the time to post pictures of the teams work on social media, thanking them for their efforts. This really does mean a lot to us and makes it all worthwhile.”

Deep cleaning focusses on pavement cleaning, gum and weed removal and usually takes one or two weeks to complete in each town.
