A WELLBEING hub has opened to help residents suffering from mental health issues.

The hub, based at Wallace House in Evesham, will be manned by Wellbeing Practitioners who support individuals to achieve better mental health.

Springfield Mind chief executive Maria Fennell said: "Recent publicity about Mental Health has helped challenge the stigma, one in four of us in the UK suffer from poor mental health each year.

"It is so important for people to be able to come and talk to us in confidence and get the support they deserve."

Initially the service will offer one to one appointments on Monday’s, also hosting peer support groups where people can come together to share support and experiences and support.

Volunteers are already visiting local colleges to reach out to students alongside a pilot delivery in two GP surgeries offering front line support.

The hub also hosts a Moodmaster course which is free to access providing tools to improve low mood.

Springfield Mind is a charity that serves the communities of Warwickshire & Worcestershire.

They offer support and information services to those suffering from low mood and mental health distress to live free of stigma and discrimination, and to achieve their personal mental wellbeing.

The charity operates several Warwickshire wellbeing hubs in partnership with Coventry Mind and commissioned by Warwickshire Public Health.
