More than £1,000 was raised for a new preschool hall at a 25th anniversary party.

Pinvin Community Preschool held a preschool party at Pinvin Memorial Hall to celebrate its birthday after opening in 1992.

The funday featured a range of fun activities, including a football tournament, bouncy castles, a barbecue and a soft play bus.

The day also included live music, sumo wrestling, an auction and a family camp out.

Hana Mallins, chairman of the school committee said: "We would like to thank everyone who came last Saturday (June 10) to the Pinvin Preschool summer party for our 25th anniversary, we raised an amazing amount of £1100 for our preschools new exciting hall.

"We have also made a donation of £100 to Alzheimer's for Amanda Rushton and Karen Greenough's 100km walk across the Cotswold walk.

"It was a very windy but dry day and brought all our friends and preschool family to join us in the fun.

"We still held our annual campout on the evening with a bit of rain to join us but that made it more exciting and fun for the children.

"Thank you to everyone who came and thank you to everyone who took the time to help us.

"Thank you to the stall holders who didn't let the wind stop them supporting us, we really do appreciate it.

"Our thank you board was full of all the wonderful businesses who helped us put the day on.

"This has been displayed on the day and also outside our preschool for the last 10 days."
