A VETS in Bromsgrove will be hosting a free event to help local owners with their badly-behaved dogs.
Vet Joao Teotonio will be hosting ‘An Evening with JT’ at Clent Hills Vets, addressing common issues like separation anxiety, compulsive behaviours, noise phobias and aggression.
Joao spent three months in Australia training with Dr Kersti Seksel - one of the world's top specialists in the subject.
He said: "The importance of animal behaviour and psychological well-being is increasingly recognised in the veterinary profession.
"If you think your pet might have a behavioural disorder it is important you seek the help of a qualified professional. Unqualified help could have a long-lasting worsening effect on your pet’s behaviour.
“Behavioural changes can be due to an infinite number of reasons, including pain and unrelated diseases. Seeking the help of a veterinarian will help you understand the cause behind your pet’s change in behaviour.”
The event, featuring a presentation, group discussion and Q&A, will take place from 7pm on Monday, October 23 at the Kidderminster Road practice.
Pre-booking is essential, and can be done by calling 01527 889810 or visiting clenthillsvets.co.uk/about-us/free-events.
