THE popular Artrix outdoor cinema event in Bromsgrove returns with a screening of global hit Mamma Mia.

Following the success of last year’s Drive-In Movies, Artrix is presenting another summer season of outdoor cinema with a screening of Mamma Mia on Friday, August 18.

Telling the story of a mother, a daughter, three possible dads and a trip down the aisle, the film is set to an ABBA soundtrack and stars Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan.

Audiences are welcome to sing-a-long as loudly as they wish without the worry of disturbing others or singing out of tune, as each ticket holder listens to the film via headphones or wireless speakers, depending on the model of the car.

Gates open at 7.30pm and there will be a selection of hot food, snacks, alcoholic and soft drinks to buy on the night. Meals can also be pre-ordered when purchasing a ticket.

Ticket holders are encouraged to arrive early to park up and soak up the Drive-In Movie atmosphere before the film begins at 9pm.

Tickets cost £25 per car, with a recommendation of two people per car, and can be purchased online at artrix.co.uk or by calling Box Office on 01527 577330.

The screening is the second Drive-In Movie event this month following a Moulin Rouge! on Saturday, August 5.
