A NATIONAL pharmacy chain has pledged to raise £250,000 for Bromsgrove's Stroke Association by the end of the year.

To launch Well Pharmacy's fundraising drive, director of transformation Chris Ellett paid a visit to the town's Life After Stroke Centre, which supports local patients in their recovery.

He said: "I saw firsthand during my visit to the Life After Stroke Centre, what an absolutely vital resource the Stroke Helpline is for stroke survivors.

"The helpline information officers, like Sarah Whitfield, work extremely hard to provide an outstanding level of care and support to everyone touched by the devastating impact of stroke.

"I’d like to personally thank the team for taking the time to explain the life-changing work they do in the community.”

Chris has committed to 12 fundraising events in 12 months, which have so far raised £2,000 in three months.
