AROUND 20 tractors are expected to take to Bromsgrove's roads this weekend to raise money for charities.

Last year's fundraiser, which took half as many agricultural vehicles on a tour through Dodford, Belbroughton, Fairfield and Chaddesley Corbett, is set to return this Saturday (March 24).

The event, organised by the town's Young Farmers Club, raised £600 to be split between Midlands Air Ambulance at St Richard's Hospice.

This year's parade is hoping to raise even more for the MS Society and the coronary care unit at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

Owner of East Lodge Farm Will Mason, 26, who is organising the fundraiser, said: "Last year's event went really well so we thought we'd do something similar again, but with a longer route and hopefully more tractors.

"It was nice to see so many kids coming along to see us last year, and we had a few sat on the tractors, so it would be good to have the same again this year.

"Anyone can come along and meet us at one of the pubs we'll be stopping off at along the way. We'll have a collection bucket to collect donations."

Farmers will be meeting for breakfast at East Lodge Farm, before setting off for the Swan Inn pub at Chaddesley Corbett for 11am.

The group is then expected to arrive at the Talbot at Belbroughton for 12.30pm, before driving through the Clent Hills and Romsley to the Swallows Nest for 2pm.

The parade will stop at the Swan at Fairfield for 3pm before finishing at the Dodford Inn for 4pm, where visitors can take part in the charity raffle.
