A MAN has been fined after stealing a bicycle wheel in what was described as a "bizarre" theft.
Peter Finch, aged 52, was "simply bored" and felt he needed a new wheel, Worcester Magistrates Court heard.
Finch, of Redcliffe Street, Barbourne, Worcester, pleaded guilty to the theft on The Cross, Worcester on Thursday, October 19.
Mark Lister, defending, said: "It is a bizarre case."
Mitigating, Mr Lister added: "There was no planning - the value was very low."
The theft, which was caught on CCTV, took place on Thursday, October 5.
Finch was fined £120 costs, ordered to pay £185 costs and a victim surcharge of £30.
