A CHURCH in Droitwich is offering a free exhibition to teach people about the story of Easter.

The event is being held at St Andrews Church, in St Andrew's Street, and will be open until Sunday, April 23.

The story will be told through six interactive displays, each giving visitors something to reflect on around the story of Easter.

Reverend Beverly Jameson, team vicar at Droitwich, Salwarpe and Hindlip with Martin Hussingtree, said: "I really hope people come, enjoy the displays and learn a little more about the story of Easter.

"Last year the children brought their families to show them the activities they had done during their school visit.

"We found that mums dads and other adults did the activities too.

"It does not matter if you are seven or 70 we are all alone and afraid sometimes and we can write or draw something to remind us of that and leave it in the Garden of Gethsemane display.

"I really hope people come, enjoy the displays and learn a little more about the story of Easter."

The exhibition was popular last year and organisers hope to emulate that success again.

More than 350 children from four schools around Droitwich will be guided through the displays before the exhibition closes.

Hope Evans, aged nine, attended last year, and said: "I heard the bible story before but doing all the things made me really think about it.

"It was very good. I am going to show mum what to do at the stations this year."

St Andrew’s Church is based in St Andrew’s Street.
